I thought I'd just drop you a line to say what a lovely time we had in your amazing Stanford House. My mother had a fantastic birthday, and even the rain held off for the party itself.
The house was even more lovely than the photographs and the staff were wonderful. Special praise must go to Victor and Natalie, although everyone was great. My niece has posted a great blog on Starry Eyed Travels, where she is a guest writer. Read it here
I'll have to find another excuse for a return visit!

Stanford House is beautiful. It is so well appointed, with all the
facilities one could want, and very comfortable. Outside, the grounds are
delightful and the pool a real bonus. Both Fernell and Arnold have worked
tirelessly to maintain the high standard. Paul and I have also appreciated
the genuine care you, Victor, have shown us and the very competent way you
have done your work as butler. Nothing has been too much trouble.
Natalie, cook, has been easy to deal with and her meals have got better and
better as the three weeks have passed. Monica too has been great – as a
woman, I can’t say how much I have appreciated seeing all our washing
disappearing, returning pristine! Especially being just the two of us, we
have felt totally relaxed at night too, knowing that Marshall has been on
site.
Of course, the views from Stanford House are wonderful. Paul and I have
been more than content to stay at the villa on many days, enjoying those
views, the pool and the sunshine! However, we have also appreciated the
days spent exploring parts of this beautiful island and are truly grateful
to you for giving of your time to take us in the owner’s car. (We have
paid for the petrol but if any money is required for the running of the
car, please let us know.) Evenings at Stanford House are equally
beautiful. We have loved all the illuminations of the grounds and the
table decorations, and some of the sunsets have been magnificent.
You will gather from this that we have thoroughly enjoyed our time at
Stanford House and would love to come again in 2012, God willing.
Thank you again for how much you have contributed to our enjoyment of this
holiday.

I'm glad Arnold managed to pass on the note. I am also glad you are managing to relax and unwind. However I would find it simply impossible to not relax at your house. I have to say it is the finest location we have ever stayed at and we have been to some great places. This particular holiday was for my in-laws as they never get to go away and simply ‘switch-off’. We enjoyed it so much we have already started plans to return ASAP!

Once again, the Barbados National Trust is indebted to you and Altman Real Estate for the loan of Stanford House for our Open House Programme 2010.
Stanford House at Polo Ridge was the first house in the Open House Programme and set the mood and the tone for what turned out to be a successful season. With one of the more stunning views over Barbados' west coast, it provided many of our visitors with the opportunity of observing that elusive 'Green flash' at sunset. A phenomenon about which we hear but seldom get the opportunity to witness!

Just a note to say Stanford House is better still with all the small details attended to and we are having a great time. Victor and the staff are all fabulous and make all the difference.

The cocktail party was a great success and EVERYONE who was there had commented on how lovely your house is! The ITC staff absolutely loved it and were really appreciative. It was the first time that both Lorraine and I saw it by night so it was a different view and absolutely breathtaking.

Just a line to say how delighted we are to be staying in your lovely home in Barbados. You have done a wonderful job with the house and the finished product is a credit to you. Victor is really looking after us and you have a very good team at the house that are making this stay very special. We are looking forward to coming back again already !!.
